 The exhibition explores the vivid appearance of French paintings and sketches through five major themes: "body posture", "Portraits and characters", "Roaming in nature", "From the city to the countryside" and "Watershore Scenery". The works are arranged in chronological order, presenting the artists' diverse interpretations and evolution of these themes over the past century, leading the audience to have dialogues across different styles and media. The exhibition also contains paintings by many well-known female artists, such as Mary Cassatt, Beth Mollysau and Susan Valadon, which show that in the development of Western modern art, female artists gradually emerged and explored new aspects of artistic expression with unique perspectives and styles.
