This year, the fireworks will be part of the "Taipei Most High New Year City - 2025 New Year Event," counting down with the entire nation to welcome 2025! The fireworks show will last for 5 minutes and will feature a large-scale laser performance for the first time. Taipei New Year’s Eve Activities｜Traffic Control, Frequently Asked Questions

Taipei Most High New Year City - 2025 New Year's Eve Event Traffic Control

1. **Phase 1**: From 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM on December 31, traffic control will be implemented in the area west of Songren Road, south of Zhongxiao East Road, north of Xinyi Road, and east of Keelung Road and Yixian Road. Vehicles will only be allowed to exit, not enter, the controlled zone.

2. **Phase 2**: From 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM on December 31, in addition to the Phase 1 controlled area, the scope will be expanded to include Yixian Road and Ren'ai Road (from Yixian Road to Guangfu South Road). Vehicles will be prohibited from entering or exiting the controlled area, and the Keelung Road underground tunnel will begin to be regulated.

3. **Phase 3**: From 10:00 PM on December 31 to 3:00 AM on January 1, the controlled area will include the region east of Guangfu South Road, south of Zhongxiao East Road, north of Xinyi Road and Zhuangjing Road, as well as Xinyi Road Section 5, Lane 236, Songde Road, and Songren Road. Vehicles will be prohibited from entering or exiting the controlled area, and the scope of control may be adjusted based on crowd size.

We recommend taking the Taipei MRT to "City Hall Station (Blue Line)" or "Taipei 101/World Trade Center Station (Red Line)," and walking to the Taipei 101 New Year's Eve fireworks venue. As in previous years, the Taipei MRT will operate extended services, running continuously for 42 hours, with the last trains departing as late as midnight on January 1.
